Snowfall App Terms of Use
Effective October 24, 2026 · Version SF-APP-TERMS-1.0-2026-10-24
Last updated: October 25, 2026
1. About these Terms
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Snowfall Command Center LLC ("Snowfall"), Pelham, NH, USA. They cover the Snowfall App, on iPhone and on the web. By signing in or finishing setup, you agree to them. If you use Snowfall App for an organization, you confirm you are authorized to act for it, and these Terms bind that organization too. Snowfall Biz has its own Terms of Use. The Snowfall website has its own Website Terms of Use.
Apple Inc. is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for Snowfall App or its content. If you got the app from the App Store, your license to use it is under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, and these Terms add to it.
2. What Snowfall App is
Snowfall App helps towns, plow contractors, winter partners, and Snowfall employees find each other, connect, and coordinate winter work. It also lets you report road problems to Snowfall and follow official weather alerts. Weather alerts and forecasts come from the National Weather Service as issued; Snowfall does not make its own forecasts. Snowfall App is not an emergency or dispatch service and is not monitored around the clock. Call 911 first for emergencies. Snowfall App does not take payments, and nothing in it is an offer of paid work by Snowfall.
3. Who can use it
You must be 18 or older and use Snowfall App for work. Town and partner organizations are approved by Snowfall. An organization's owner can approve colleagues who join that organization. Snowfall can decline or remove any seat.
4. Your account
Sign in with an email address you control and keep the sign-in code to yourself. Use your real name and your organization's real name. You are responsible for what happens under your account. Snowfall App, Snowfall Biz, and Snowfall Winter Comms use one Snowfall sign-in.
5. Directory, listings, and verification
Your organization's listing shows only its name, type, town and state, weather zones, description, and optional profile details from fixed choices (services, fleet size, towns covered). Do not put a street address, phone number, or anyone's personal information in a listing. You can hide your listing at any time. A "Verified" mark means a Snowfall executive confirmed the organization appears to be who it says it is. It is not an endorsement, a license check, an insurance check, or a guarantee of anyone's work.
6. Connections and conversations
You can send a connection request to another organization. Once it is accepted, either side can start a conversation. A conversation can be seen only by members of the two organizations in it. Snowfall executives cannot read conversations between organizations. The only exceptions are a copy of content someone reports to Snowfall, and content the law requires us to provide. Messages with a town or other public body may be public records. Agreements you make with another organization are between you and that organization. Snowfall is not a party to them and does not guarantee them.
7. Content rules: zero tolerance
There is zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Do not post or send anything that is:
- unlawful, threatening, harassing, bullying, hateful, or discriminatory;
- sexually explicit, or violent in a way meant to shock;
- false or misleading, including pretending to be another person, town, or company;
- someone else's private information (such as a home address, personal phone number, or ID number) without their permission;
- spam, advertising unrelated to winter operations, or malware;
- an infringement of someone else's rights.
Snowfall App filters messages, notes, and listings for objectionable words and refuses them. The filter is not perfect, and you remain responsible for what you send.
8. Reporting, blocking, and moderation
You can report any message, connection request, or organization in the app, with a reason, and you can block an organization. Blocking ends the connection right away, hides each of you from the other in the directory, and stops new requests and messages. Each report gives Snowfall a copy of the reported content. Snowfall (Nathaniel Dale) reviews every report within 24 hours, including during storms. Reports and moderation records are kept for up to 2 years. It removes content that breaks these Terms and suspends or removes the account (and, if needed, the organization) responsible. You can also report a problem to nathaniel.dale@snowfallcommandcenter.com or (774) 737-2058.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of what you post. You give Snowfall a limited license to store, display, and deliver it to the people you send it to, and to review it when it is reported or the law requires, only to run Snowfall App. Snowfall may remove content that breaks these Terms.
10. Notifications, reminders, and Face ID
A notification names only the organization it is about, such as "New message from [organization]", never the message text. Message alerts, reminders, and the Face ID lock are optional and can be turned off in the app or in iPhone Settings. Face ID is checked on your device; Snowfall never receives Face ID data. A notification may not arrive, so do not rely on Snowfall App for urgent or safety messages.
11. No AI features
Snowfall App does not include AI drafting or other AI features. If we add one, we will update these Terms and the privacy policy before it is available.
12. Deleting your account
You can delete your account in the app at any time: Account → Delete my account. What is removed and what stays is described in the privacy policy. Snowfall may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, puts someone at risk, or when the law requires.
13. Disclaimers and limits
Snowfall App, the directory, and weather and alert information are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, Snowfall disclaims all warranties, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, Snowfall is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Snowfall's total liability for claims about Snowfall App is limited to one hundred U.S. dollars (US $100). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any consumer-protection right that the law where you live gives you and that cannot be waived. Snowfall does not employ contractors or partners you meet in the app and does not control their work.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Hampshire, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. If you have a dispute with Snowfall, contact us first at nathaniel.dale@snowfallcommandcenter.com or (774) 737-2058, and both sides will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days. If it is not resolved, either side may bring a claim in the state or federal courts located in New Hampshire, or in small claims court if the claim qualifies.
15. Changes
Snowfall may update these Terms. The new version and its effective date are posted in the app and at https://www.snowfallcommandcenter.com/snowfall-app-terms. If a change is significant, you will be asked to accept it in the app before you keep using it.
